Happy Sunday All...

Oh I wanna update my cookbook!:)

So this weekend since I am not that lazy (LOL), I prepared some "super-hard-to-swallow" food for my Kaka..hehe No la...joking! He actually don't really eat Bittergourd aka Peria, and do not enjoy yam as well. I guess am quite military when it comes to food! I cannot take the reason why he cannot or don't like this and that. For simple reason, because it doesn't taste good or bitter?! If really the food is unhealthy and not nice then okay la I accept it but if bitter makes it yucky, no matter how bizarre it is, it will goes to his mouth!haha Kesian oo kan ada wife macam saya...LOL

Why I always wanting my Kaka to try variety of food, again simple reason: Because he always eat the same dishes again and again, especially roti!Roti canai, roti telur, roti kosong, segala roti la..you name it la!He sure won't refuse. I didn't say roti is not good, but I feel like he did not get sufficient nutrients from all the natural resources. Though he is not actually that choosy, but when it comes to certain vegetables, he rather fight with me than put in his mouth!Astagaaaa~ So because of this reason, I do survey what type of cooking can ease the bitterness or cook it into different form so that it doesn't look or taste like yam. (Got such thing?haha) Luckily I memang love cooking, or else....:@

So cut it short, I prepared a super easy dishes for you to try. This dish is kinda common among my family members, guess so do some of you.. :)

In Sabah, we called it "Jeruk Peria".

Ingredient:

1. Bitter-gourd

2. Small anchovies (soak in water to soften it)

3. Shallot

4. Lime

What you need to do is just slice the bitter-gourd and shallot, put in some anchovies, and squeeze in lime juice, add a small bit of salt and MSG. Leave it awhile so that the lime get harmonize with the bitter-gourd and it is ready to be served! Easy kan..I tried to cook soupy bitter-gourd, or fried with my favorite "tau-si" but he don't seem to like it. I guess this time I manage to make him enjoy the bitterness of the bitter-gourd! Actually the lime do helped to ease the bitterness, I think.

Ok done with Bitter-gourd, move on to yam. I love yam so so much! But not my Kaka. Not saying he hate it or what but he will never choose yam if possible. So instead of just boiling it, I made it into "Meat ball".

Meat ball without meat.

Ingredient:

1. Yam

2. Corn starch

3. Garlic

4. Ginger

5. Coriander

6. Black pepper

7. Oyster sauce

8. Thyme

Steps:

1. Cut the yam into small pieces, boil it until soft and smash it

2. Chop some garlic and ginger

3. Mix the chopped garlic and ginger with the smashed yam, together with coriander, black pepper, oyster sauce and thyme

4. Add on corn starch to make the mixture texture a little harder so that easy to mole it into round shape

5. Deep fry

Yeah..this one maybe need a little bit of extra work, but I can guaranteed you it makes those who don't like yam clean up all the "meat ball"!haha Ok guys! I gt to prepare dinner now, he'll be back soon! Happy trying!:)

P/S: I know someone out there don't like bitter-gourd too, guess I shall train you till you like it!:)

Introducing beetroot to my Kaka

Happy Saturday peeps!

As usual, another night of preparing dinner with my kaka..:)

So today when we were in Tesco, I saw beetroot! I used to like it when I was young but since moving to KL, I never had it anymore. Simple reason: No mama here how to eat beetroot soup?! (Good excuse Jesse! Bravo) LOL

So tonight I decided to introduce beetroot to my kaka. He told me this is his first time to see and to eat beetroot. Not surprise at all.haha I made a simple soup with some dried shrimps and anchovies paste for him. Actually preparing beetroot soup is the easiest dish to try, as you just need to boil water and throw everything in. As easy as that!

Well, as usual my kaka sure got no other comment, other than "NICE!" (standard answer la macam biasa..haha I really do not know if he really mean it) One thing am enjoying the most is to introduce Chinese cooking to him. I noticed he do like Chinese food as it is less oily compare to other types of cooking, plus a lot of healthy soupy dishes to discover! Yet, the Indonesian blood is him just couldn't hide from his favorable to spicy food, especially the spicy sambal brinjal!

2012 already?!

Those are the years when we were all standing at our paths, looking far beyond the paths that we couldn't even foreseen the future, scratching heads on which journey to walk. Sometimes we were smiling, there were time we were crying in vain. But that's okey right..Though we all know those routes are rough and steep, we had went through it. And today we are here celebrating the very first day of 2012. Happy Dragon year people!

To be frank, I never take 'resolution' as a must when every new year comes. For me, resolution is just a saying or something that use to comfort someone, so that they 'thought' they will be more motivated after having such resolutions. I have none to be honest. yeah NONE. Why? Because my plan of life is not exactly depending on my decision. Now I am married. In many decisions in my life now, I need to consider many things. Not just for me alone, but for everyone that are indirectly involve in this marriage. What I hope for the new year is as simple as a joyful life, good health and a calm heart. Life is too short to wish for everything in this world, I just want simply happiness.

In this 2012, I wish all the people that love me to have the best of everything in your life. May all your dreams will be the beginning of a wonderful year ahead! And of course I am apologize if I am harsh. You know I don't mean it, if I do, I do it because I care and love, I am really sorry ya..:)

If last night I am long hair, today I have a short one. Well, don't ask me where I have the gut to sacrifice my beautiful long hair, I have no answer for that too.haha Actually I've been thinking of cutting it short long time ago, just too bad I have no gut to do so! Nda percaya ei (I couldn't believe) with my spontaneous "over-night" decision! which just happened while browsing short hair artists with my kaka last night. Good also la, at least starting from now I can stop annoying everyone "Nice oo kan her short hair, should I try?" since I am one of them..:)

After spending a long and arduous month being cracked-out with overloaded works, my Kaka decided to treat ourselves a night with the Tiesto concert. To be honest, I don't really listen to Tiesto music intentionally but having someone whose really into DJ, I am somehow will indirectly listen to their musics once he is home. And from there, I know few of the famous DJs such as Paul Van Dyk, David Guetta, DJ Vibe and etc. Since we both are genuine clubbers (genuine doesn't mean always go clubbing but we just love the clubs!haha), I love those gigs played by them! I never bake anything in my life. NEVER. Yeah I mean cakes or cupcakes or anything similar to those species. Though I am kinda good in the kitchen (as for my standard..) but it never crossed my mind to at least try. But lately, I have this special interest to try on baking! So after a few days of online searching for the recipe, I finally came to a decision to make my first chocolate cake. Yeah the very first one!

Okey, I might be silly to tell that I forgot to take photo of the cake. ^^ But swear to God I did! It maybe didn't look as nice as your mother bakes but at least edible la kan.haha So the night after I am done with everything, I kept the cake in the fridge and put a simple note to my loyal roomate...^^

Dec, 4 [11:53pm] with a simple wish: "Hope you'll like it!"

And the next morning, it gives me a big smile when I see this...:)

A Luxury Golden Palm..

It was my first time to be at Golden Palm Tree or more familiar known as Sepang Gold Coast. Located somewhere near to KLIA and LCCT, the southern part of the state of Selangor. Well I am a little regret for not being able to be there during the sunset. It was already dark when I started my journey to find the very deep hidden resort. The journey actually kinda creepy as we need to pass through old roads with vast vegetation on either side, passing very very old towns that resemble days gone by, lend no hints to the recent urbanisation. This former sleepy town has seen pockets of development over the years.

Truth to be told, it certainly is a great place to visit! Why? Cause it's just a breathtakingly beautiful! Once my hubby sent me to the lobby, we were amazed with the great night view. ( I guess I know what in his mind...:) Shall I say thanks in advanced Babe..?;p) By the way, since my villa is 1km away from the lobby, and since it is already night and I also quite tired, so I let the handsome buggy's driver to ride me to my villa. Oh! I think I forgot to take the picture of the buggy that took me and all other residents to our rooms. Ermm...

Well, since this is a company trip. So each group of four will need to share a villa. The luxurious villa that we stayed was called the Ivory Palm Villa that has two bedrooms. This photo is taken from their website. Awesome right? It reminds me the Palm Island at Palm Jumeirah, Dubai. Though the shape of the palm is similar but The Palm Island is totally different concept as it is not just a normal resort, it is complete with extremely mediocre buildings making up the bulk of the housing units on sale on the island. What amazed me was there are 17 fronds of the palm house that inclusive of more exclusive villas each with its own private beach in its backyard!Based on what I read before, many world-famous celebrities own those exclusive villas.

Okey..since am staying in one of the exclusive villa, I manage to get some information about Ivory Palm Villa. The Villa is about 122sqm with 2 separate bedrooms, a spacious marble bathroom with a sunken bathtub, walk-in wardrobe and a lounge. And also a wide balcony. Ivory Palm Villa accommodates 5 Adults OR 3 Adults + 3 Children OR 4 Adults + 2 Children.

Well there are 2 things you shouldn't expect much when you consider to make a point to stay here.

1st: The buffer dinner is sucks! Suck as not because the food is not delicious, but it cost us RM150/person for the dinner but ended up I only manage to eat some salad and desserts!Just that!Ridiculous right?!It's so frustrated that there was no food top up after 9pm when it stated there dinner is until 10pm!This is so sad when everything is so nice but the tummy is drumming noisy!

2nd: Don’t expect blue sea water and compare it with those what you see in Mabul Island, or Redang Island. I think the lousiest Manukan Island sea water is much clearer than at Sepang Gold Coast. The sea water is totally cokolet! The water really spoil the entire package lor.No kidding! Wish to see corals or seabed? Leave it as a sweet dream la k...LOL

Oh lastly, Since the night before we couldn't taste any seafood, so we decided to have our lunch at Tanjung Sepat, about 20km further. Tell you what, it has old world charm and the food is really really nice and worth money value.

This is where we had our lunch. This belongs to one of my colleague's family.

That's what the local called as "The Lover's Bridge". Dare you?haha

The Chinese-Malay Affair

Okey la since I am quite free today, let share the story about how I was asked to wear 'tudung' for my Muslim Card. No offend ya. This is just a sharing, so that I hope it won't happen to others, especially the new comer like me.

So there was this day I went to one of the Islamic office to register as new comer. After registration, I was asked to meet an officer to choose a new name. That was the moment where we (my husband and I) had an argument with the officer about the name we had chosen long ago. (See my previous post) I was a little upset with the way the officer trying to convince us that "Jessenia" is not a Muslim name. Sorry to name is as rude. He did Google the name on the spot but sad to say he's insisting that the name cannot be used as it is a Spanish name. Well one name can be used by different country right? It is also stated "Jessenia" is an Arabic name and mainly used by the Muslim. Sigh~ For me, whatever it is, it's just a name. What most important is my heart to the religion, not the name.

Back to the topic I wanna share about the wearing "tudung" (headscarf) story...

Okey done with the name changing. I was asked to go another section to take photo for my Muslim card. At the counter, I greeted the lady with "Assalamualaikum...", without answering me she passed me a "tudung" and asked me to wear. Honestly, I didn't know how to wear the tudung. Without asking more, I took the tudung and tried to wear it. Since it is just a plain scarf (not the one main sarung saja), I just simply put it on, slung the tips crossing each other on my shoulders. No mirror is provided so I didn't know how do I look like or whether am wearing it correctly. So when I thought I am ready to take photo, the lady again said "Eh..pakai la tudung tu baik-baik sikit. Rambut you tu, jangan bagi keluar. Pakai tudung pun tak reti macam mana nak jadi saudara baru." Again I keep quiet. I was so frustrated at that time, I really wish she will lend me a hand to put on the tudung nicely. Instead of helping me, she just stood at one side looking at me, with her restless look. Until today I am so sad when thinking about it again. Though I was hurt with the way I was treated but that's doesn't mean I hate the Malays or Muslims. These people are just the minority cause I have met many nice Malay friends and they are so helpful too. :) Again, it's just a sharing, hope no one get offended k..^^

Well, to share another story...

I have few friends were in relationship with Malay guys. Just take one as example. Been together for 5-6 years, but end of the day my friend need to choose between family and love. Since she is born in a strong belief in Christianity, she got no choice but to let go her love. Trust me. They were in pain now. This is very sad. They were letting go not because there's no more love, but not to hurt. It was unfair isn't it? Will this and the cultural differences make it less likely for many out there to survive as a couple?Who should get the blame? NOBODY. Cause love is never wrong, just us the human.

The fundamentals of love are romance, companionship, understanding and support. You have to believe these cross cultural boundaries, if you really believe in true love. Have a pleasant day all. Merry Merry Christmas!

Weird huh? Why when the chinese or the Indian go with Amor or Nigro nobody will make huu haa ah?!I hope I didn't sound so racist, if yes I would be the last person to be said as a racist, as I myself married to a Malay and happy with my choice..♥

Whenever a chinese girl go with a malay guy, the entire world seems looking at two aliens holding hands.(Not that bad actually, at least you feels like a not-so-famous artist at whatever streets you passes-by.haha) I remembered when I was in high school, one aunt told me "you can go with any guy, whatever guys, but definitely not the Bajau." Well what she meant is don't go with the Muslim, right aunty?:) What's wrong with that anyway? Isn't that so racist? I don’t call certain someone racist but without proper understanding on certain topics, people will tend to have a wrong perception of certain something.

Yes again..what makes the chinese or other races get so paranoid? The problem is not really with the Malays but rather with Islam. As what we aware of, the Malaysia Marriage laws are kinda strict, and the non muslims would have to submit to the Muslim according to Islamic marriage laws. If we were to compare, the intermarry is easily done in other countries, but not Malaysia.

As a half-blooded Chinese, I understand what makes the Chinese feels so scared of letting their children to marry a Muslim. First, they thought their children is not allowed to eat same table with them anymore since the food is not halal. Yes, indeed there will be changes in the lifestyle, but not dramatically as they think. Relax..It's not as bad as you think people. Islam is a beautiful religion. Convert to Islam doesn't mean you become Malays. Islam is not equal to Malays. No such thing as you must wear baju kurung or totally lost your identity as Chinese or your original race after convert. You'll always be the same, just the belief is now different and need to be a extra careful with the food we choose. Yes to cover "Aurat" is compulsory but there is no force in Islam. The religion itself can't force one if you are not ready for it. The day will come when your "Hidayah" is there. Take it easy, learn it slowly. Islam is a universal religion, no matter who you are, the Arabs, Malays, Indonesians, Chinese, Indian (anyone, anybody) can believe in the same faith, which is Allah SWT. I know sometimes there'll be misleading in religion, just like how I was forced to change my name to "so called" Muslim name as the staff said "JESSENIA" is not a Muslim name, just because he never heard the name before. It was sad a new come like me being forced for something that I am clearly know I am at the right side. The staff even says " If you suka sangat nama ni, you letak la. Kita tak tanggung if ada apa-apa problem in future." :(

Share with you next time how I was treated when I was asked to wear tudung before taking photo for my Muslim card. Don't get me wrong ya. I don't hate the Malays. Never! I am married to one lei..! And I am proud to have one..♥

Ok back to the story....

I believe many out there might be facing the same problem. With my 10 years relationship with a Muslim guy, I am definitely say "GO FOR YOUR LOVE, PEOPLE!!" but remember never hurt. Yes it is ok for us, but for our parents its an entirely different story. No matter how big is the firewall, do not hurt their feelings. Seek for their blessings and approval. Try to talk nicely and prove to them that not all Malays are bad. (Sound like Chinese/Indian/Kadazan/other races are all very good huh..Don't like that la aunty..bad people whatever race also got mah...) I think it is up to us to change their stereotype because Malay or not, we are still human. Nothing should stop one from falling in love, not to mention religion.

End of the day, the power of love still lies in your hands. You need to rationalize the situation and think if its worth it. Make a decision that you won't regret. I know this is going to be a tough decision. Stay strong, stay with your love. That's your fate!

November Trip to Keningau!

Oh! I love my trip to Sabah this time! Oh shall I say every-time?LOL Where is Keningau? Well this is my second trip to Keningau if I am not wrong. The first trip was long long time ago until I couldn't recall what am I doing there. Basically I have no idea how the route would looks like. Sorry didn't manage to capture the scenery along the way to Keningau, but what I can exactly recalled was the fog! Before reaching Keningau, we need to passby Tambunan. It was covered with thick foggy all the way up to Tambunan and the whether was chilling cold. Since Eng is familiar with the roads, so she drove us this time. So grateful for the good chatting time while we were on the way to Keningau..:) Btw, Keningau is the nerve centre of Sabah's vast interior division and land of the Muruts, one of Sabah's major ethnic groups. I was kinda surprise to see Keningau's town. It's bigger than what am expected! Large population too I assumed, with the traffic jam in a small town like this.

Though this trip is planned purposely for a friend's wedding, but it seems more enjoyable that I expected as I manage to meet my crazy girlfriend, Eng! It's always been a good time when we were together..miss u already oo Eng! XOXOXO

Hey you...wanna share a story with you..

Last night when I stepped into my house, I noticed my kaka is not in the living room. So as usual, I "Kakaaaaaaaaa..ni zai na li..?" loud loud..but surprisingly no answer. I am curious so I walked slowly along the living hall to each of the room, peeking from one room to another room (haha I sound like my house gt 20 rooms!). Then I found out he is actually busy ironing his working shirts...

Guess what..?!The naughty side of me suddenly triggered me to jump and climb on his body..!But when am about to start my mission, I suddenly stopped and stepped back. Why?

All because... ----> my husband is an IRON MAN! No. I am lying. I don't want Iron man, I feel sad if he needs to be one..:(

I suddenly feel so guilty that I hadn't iron my kaka's working shirts for long time...): I even couldn't recall when is the last time I do that for my hubby. Sorry ya...not because I am lazy ok..just that I am stuffed with office works. I need to carry bundles of joy home..(JOY??!!I wish lor!!) If I really stuffed with joy, I am surely will be ironing his shirt joyfully too right?! Too bad I wish someone out there who supposed to know this knows about how terrible it is to be overloaded with office works, yet it seems no appreciation is given. Maybe I should scold myself stupid for being so committed with whatever rubbish given to me then. BUT I guess no one wanna be stupid for the rest of their life, right? :) (You know what I mean...)Whatever I am doing now, I am doing for the sake of improving myself + my love to the children I taught..

Huhhh....

Finally gt time to post something after long busy weeks since moving to new house. I really miss writing but sometimes am seriously kind of ketandusan idea what to post. Not like I have nothing to write, I have a lot indeed! But I know myself well. When every time I try to write and that every time I need to try so hard to put the words into sentences, I know am actually not ready to share anything, so I normally will just stop where I stop.

Don't know why la..since moving to new house, I feel tired and lazy all the time. I don't actually feel like going out or even go to work! ( That's too much, Jesse!haha) The only thing I wanna do is to wake up early morning, prepare breakfast, get him ready to work, give him a goodbye kiss and go to buy groceries. haha Gosh!! I sound so aunty ody oooo..but I seriously couldn't hide this feeling lei..That's all I wanna do. Stay home do cleaning, cook for him and just wait till he is back to have meal together. It's been a year now. Time flies. And last Saturday, exactly a year of marriage, we were finally moving in to our new love nest.^^ A small hut for two, yet an amazing memories to be created in it. I am so grateful for all that has happened. All my thank goes to my beloved hubby for his hard work and efforts.."Thank you Sweetheart! I really love our new love nest! Thank you for loving me this much.." For this complete one year my wedding ring has done its job. It has led me not into temptation. It has reminded my husband and me numerous times at parties that it's time to go home. It has been a source of relief to a dinner companion, and I believe love begins at home. Well, lastnight it was so delightful as I manage to cook our first dinner. The very first ones! Maybe it's just a simple one, but seasoned with all my love. It's always been a joy to cook for your love ones, ALWAYS!

Suatu hari di Sg. Congkak...

Sg. Congkak is Congkak river la. haha Where is that? I also not so sure la..but according to the gps, it shows somewhere near Ulu Langat. Yeah..very the outskirt..from main road to kampung road then to small junction turning to the "Taman Rekreasi Congkak"..but still need to drive till very deep inside, then only can see river.

Oh frankly I love river, as much as I love the sea. It gives me a pleasant feeling everytime hearing the soothing sound of flowing water. Since this river is located in the middle of a preserved forest, I would say it has been taken care nicely compare to some other rivers. Of course the water is not crystal clear but ok la for the city folks to at least get some experience of soaking themselves in that cool water with natural atmosphere.

Last Wednesday night I had my best friend May and her guy over at my place..Well nothing else you can do during festive season other than some exciting night out with buddies and get high! haha ( high?! Ahaaa....) Oh ya...I would love to share an eye-opener story here. Nothing so huu haa but I think no harm to share as many out there are so negative about it. Know what I saw in the club? For the first time, I saw a lady with 'tudung' in Malaysia club. I am not so sure if this is kinda normal to the outside world, but I am pretty sure this is very rare or totally zero in Malaysia. But don't get me wrong, am not so sure what the Malaysia Muslims might think, but me personally I have this 'solute' to her as she has no offend going to clubs though she is wearing tudung. YES! Why should us feel that is wrong when we know we go to such places to enjoy the musics and chill, right? That lady also behaved well, she didn't simply jump like an ecstasy addict and definitely no alcohol involves. Maybe ya..some might think the Muslims should avoid from going clubs or something related cause no doubt that those places may lead to undesirable social problems. BUT that will happen IF ONLY you let yourself be one of them. Just my 2-cents view, hope no one get offended. :) Nobody is perfect as a follower, either me.

Oh finally! It's RAYA! Yuhuuuuu! Balik kampung Oh Oh Oh balik Puchong~~ Hahaha How I wish it's really balik my kampung in Sabah! Celebrating raya in the city is way way different compared to kampung. Though this is my first official year celebrating raya as wifey, but it wouldn't give me so much of excitement as this year raya the family had chosen to celebrate it in KL instead of going back to Sabah. Well simply because last year everybody were in Sabah as my wedding was a week away from raya. So this year most of them need to take turn. Ikut giliran bah orang kampung bilang...luckily I don't need to follow such rules ooo! Best part of mixed marriage = no need to rebut-rebut! Every year raya go one side, every year sin nian go another side! No fighting no pecah piring! Good huh~ LOL

Guess what? Raya is boring. I didn't enjoy as much as I thought I will. Maybe due to a simple celebration in the city, am not sure. BUT one thing always changed everything when she is around--> KASIH ! Yeah for sure she is not ours, but she do belongs in our hearts..:) We so called 'borrow' Kasih from her parent for a ride when on the way to their house at Klang. Once entered the car, she was so excited and keep smiling to my hubby with her teeth biting raya packet. She swang her legs, she enjoyed the rhythm when we sang along, she laughed joyfully when I held her small finger to hit the cows in my iphone game. Those baby laugh of her was just priceless!Oh...I miss her already..:(

Oh then...half journey, she started to cry! OMG! We suddenly got panic too! My hubby passed me her bottle, I tried to feed her but she refused. Then hubby suggested maybe I should lay her down and put her close to my body and pacify her. Once I put her body a bit down and put her head closed to my body, she really stop crying! wow! I know that's wasn't that brilliant for those whose experience it with their own, but for me, I found it is just somehow amazing cause the last time Kasih met us was many months back and I feel so good as she is willing to let a stranger like me to pacify her while feeding her. The feeling was just unexplainable..:)

What's wrong for being just "Malaysian" instead of putting the specific race when it is not accurate at all, especially for those multiracial babies. What's the purpose of "1Malaysia" if all of us still need to be differentiate by our race?

Look at all the extravagant 1Malaysia advertising, billboards and logos liberally plastered all over government uniforms, government buildings and election freebies, it is all meaningless because when it comes to actual policy, it was not practise as what being preached that we are united Malaysia where all Malaysian are equal. Indah khabar dari rupa, bukan? :)

Just because the current system does not allow this, they are force to choose one of the many ethnics in their blood or just choose "lain-lain" to make the process easy. Is that fair? Well...if you've read an article in today's STAR newspaper, I guess I don't need to mention the title la kan. I believed not all Muslims agree with such statement. At least I am one of them. Look at all the statements given, "serve their husbands better than a first-class prostitute" , "A good or religious wife should be good in bed", "A husband who was kept happy in the bedroom would have no reason to stray, seek out prostitutes or indulge in other social vices", "Women should obey their husbands if they wanted to enter heaven"..??

Again, isn't both parties need to play their roles to keep their marriage happy and healthy? I believe not all Muslim husbands out there agree with the objective of the club. Of course sex is important but you can't say it will overcome the social ills. There must be other factors involved as well and we all know that men, could still cheating on their wives despite having a happy marriage. Why only women need to work hard to ensure the marriage goes well but not both parties? Is this what we call as gender equality? LOL Husbands as well have to take responsibilty for their own actions.

OK OK...I think I better zip up my mouth now...

This is just a humble thought from me. Everybody has their choice, and I am telling you I choose NO NO NO. So it's your choice women, nobody can force you but YOU...:)

A 12-year-old Mongolian boy-Wudamu（乌达木） who lost his parents at the age of 8 in a road accident singing the song-"Mother in the Dream" (梦中的额吉) to his mother in heaven. Though the song is in mongolian but that's doesnt matter as his singing touched every of us.
A touching song, performed by a boy who got a sad story behind, a voice comes from far Mongolia sending his thought to his mother in heaven. A great performance by a 12-year-old boy! He got an interesting and beautiful dream which is to invent a kind of ink that just need a drop to drop on the ground, the whole world will cover with green grass.

Ok there you go...

After the gowns selection done, here we came to the photoshooting session. The package that I've chosen allowed me to choose 6 different gowns, 3 gowns for indoor and another 3 for outdoor. I took my outdoor shoot at a lake garden somewhere nearby Taman Tun and also another one was in a "home-transformed-to-castle" house.

It was a long shooting as it took us 12 hours to complete all shoot. Phew~ I think normally the groom will be so damn bored as most of the time is only the bride will keep on changing gown, make up & hairstyle. Pity my Kaka also la.hehe So I think it would be good if you can bring something to keep yourself occupy so that the long hours of waiting wouldn't kill your mood then causing fake and unnatural expressions. :)

By the way, I am glad to introduce my MUA ( Make-Up Artist), Doris for my pre-wedding shoot. I really like her touch as she wouldn't make you looks like Marilyn Monroe or Lady La La ( I don't mine if I do look like Princess Diane..HAHA). She will keep asking if I am okey with this and that or what type of make up or hairdo that I prefer. I do love all the touch-up on me cause I look so natural and not overdone. Doris is actually a Taiwanese. So you might have language gap with her if you totally can't speak mandarin. Thank God I still have about 200 chinese characters in my head. So to tell her "我要变漂亮" wouldn't be that hard. LOL

Hahaha seriously I don't know why I suddenly feels like writing bout my wedding again though it had been passed more than 8 months now. I think it is probably because of last night someone asked me if I do owe her anything and I said No. After 10 times (or more) of guessing, I ended gave up.

Guess she is kinda bored with my never-get-correct answers so she threw me a super duper good question, "Isn't you promise me that you'll write bout your wedding once everything is done?" Opsss~ ada meh huh? Let's talk bout the Pre-Wedding shoot la kan..cause normally when people think about getting married, the first thing that would cross their minds wil be pre-wedding shoot. Am not sure la if that is compulsory but it seems a trend nowadays. But if you ask me, though it is compulsory or a trend I'll still go for it for ONE reason: I LOVE CAMERA & I AM A CAM-FREAK! Solid enough right?keke

Well, to be honest I don't really have much selections for the pre-wedding shoot. I mean not like I don't really have choice but I just don't spend much time and effort to really go through each & every bridal shop. I remembered I went to the Bridal Fair around Dec at Mid Valley. Actually at that time a friend of mine did suggest Mon Liza Bridal Gallery to me as her brother took his pre-wedding photos there and it seems the service is quite good. So when I went to the fair I didn't go to all the booths cause it seems I have made up my mind that I will just choose Mon Liza as my pre-wedding vendor. Perhaps you might think I should do survey on other bridal as well but for me taking pre-wedding photos is jz part of the entire wedding, actual day shoot is more important. Yeah of course I wanted the best shoots for us but looking at their website and with the good words from my friend and also compliments from the Malaysianwedding's forum, I think ( I hope) I've made up a correct decision.

I signed up my package during the fair anyway because I know during the fair normally there will be more free gifts or extra free things/service and you pay lower than the normal price. As my friend suggested to me, Alfred is my incharge person. He is absolutely a nice and very helpful one! Thank God for that! And thank you Kian Ying for your suggestion as well..:)

3 THINGS TO REMEMBER!

TIP 1: NOTE DOWN EVERYTHING, YES EVERYTHING!

Make sure the staff noted down every single thing he/she has promised you when you sign up with them. Normally those people will promise to give you this la that la but when the next time you ask them about it again, they might pretend like they never say it before. It's not about trust or what, we all human being tend to forget things. Not like in your life you'll only need to remember 1 thing, especially when you are in the process of planning your wedding. So many things to do and so many stuffs to remember. Even a robot might forget, apa lagi manusia biasa kan? Just make sure they write down everything la. I believe you don't want end of the day what you pay is not worth compare to what you get right? Pre-wedding shoot is a trend now ( you know also wat..), so when something that is called TREND, apa-apa pun mahal. Not only mahal, everybody knows alot of people get cheated on their pre-wedding shoot. You know la when people wanna get married everybody so excited one. So whatever they offer you also will say "Wah nice OoO...Wah I want OoO..Wah Wah Wahhhhhh" ( Sure the husband will be "uwekkkk" when see the price.keke). So make sure get a copy for your own reference too. ( For counter back purpose actually..hahaha)

TIP 2: GET THE RIGHT PERSON INCHARGE!

Of course you can't predict them until you work with them but at least try to get someone that you are comfortable with cause you will need to deal with him/her all the time. Not only to request but to complaint too! So rajin-rajin la check through forum and see what others recommendations ya. Not to really follow what they'd comment, but take their words as a guideline.

TIP 3: CHOOSE THE GOWNS THAT ARE YOURS!

A lot of people when they choose wedding gowns they will tend to choose something that is nice on others. Why? Cause normally when one is about to get married, naturally her fingers will be busy to google here and there to find out which gown looks superb! Yeah it might be superb on others cause people maybe got the height mah...or maybe the body figure so hot mah. Of course nice in any gowns. So when it comes to reality, you should consider something that is suit your figure well cause those gowns will indicate your "title" too, either you are "slim chick" or "fat chick". No harm to try all the gowns that you likes, but just be careful with what you choose cause you don't want to look like "Guo chong" or "langsir bergerak" in your wedding photos right?

Finally done with my tutorial training today! What a big relief. Phew~ To start the story with, it is all began when am chatting with one of my closed childhood friend about some stupid dream ( Seriously stupid one!) he had about me and suddenly the word "Gintak" became our main topic. LOL

He asked " apa bah tu gintak? "

Then I asked him to google and search for the meaning. I have the same curiousity eventhough I am very sure the meaning of the word . So at the meanwhile, I google and google and google and was so surprise with what I found! wakekeke I am guarantee 110% all of won't believe until you read this. Here come the story of Gintak!

:::The legend of Gintak Gabui:::

When it comes to legendary Sabahans, whose very name has entered the local vocabulary, it must be Gintak Gabui. In 1990, perhaps even earlier, Gintak, then 70, was found guilty of raping a 15-year old girl.
That gained him instant infamy. Everybody talked about him, and his name came to mean the act of raping / worse, usually said with a snigger, often followed by maniacal laughter.

When he was on trial, many people reportedly congregrated in courtrooms to catch a glimpe of the infamous man, to which he once allegedly said the immortal words:

"Sabar peminat."
(Meaning: please, my fans, be patient.)

When I climbed mount Kinabalu in 1990, I even saw his name spraypainted on a rock face near the summit.
I remember seeing a grainy picture of him in one of the newspapers then. I am not sure if he’s still alive; if he is, he’d be about 90 years old now.

The only person whose time in the limelight is remotely comparable to him is Tausang @ Tingal Sagunting, a rubber tapper, who was on trial in 2007 for allegedly raping an 18-year old girl in August 2004, at a rubber plantation in Kampung Laputong, Tamparuli (hence, “the mattress” was not exhibited in court I suppose). As a result she got pregnant and gave birth to a boy. He was then 77. The late Tausang caused a stir when he refused lawyers and instead conducted his own defence, in Dusun language no less.

When the trial got underway he was about 80 years old, probably the oldest ever person in Malaysia ever to be charged with rape. He uttered two immortal sentences, reported in the newspapers:

"Saya tidak akun rogol, sebab saya suka sama suka, sama dia, saya tidak dapat kacau sama dia, kalau bukan kerana sinta."

(Meaning: I do not admit raping her, because the act was consensual. I would not be able to “disturb” her if we didn’t love each other.)

"Nokuro tu au dau pinoruput tontok do korogol, soira pod minontian om man nogi dau poruputo?"

(Meaning: Why didn’t the woman make a police report when she was raped? Why did she make the report only when she found out she was pregnant?)

He was eventually found not guilty, and died about a month after that in his sleep. Even now, there are more google search results on “gintak gabui” as compared to “tausang sagunting.”

When I got home that night as my wife served dinner, I held her hand and said, I've got something to tell you. She sat down and ate quietly. Again I observed the hurt in her eyes.

Suddenly I didn't know how to open my mouth. But I had to let her know what I was thinking. I want a divorce.. I raised the topic calmly.

She didn't seem to be annoyed by my words, instead she asked me softly, why?

I avoided her question. This made her angry. She threw away the chopsticks and shouted at me, you are not a man! That night, we didn't talk to each other. She was weeping. I knew she wanted to find out what had happened to our marriage. But I could hardly give her a satisfactory answer; she had lost my heart to Dew. I didn't love her anymore. I just pitied her!

With a deep sense of guilt, I drafted a divorce agreement which stated that she could own our house, our car, and 30% stake of my company.

She glanced at it and then tore it into pieces. The woman who had spent ten years of her life with me had become a stranger. I felt sorry for her wasted time, resources and energy but I could not take back what I had said for I loved Dew so dearly. Finally she cried loudly in front of me, which was what I had expected to see. To me her cry was actually a kind of release. The idea of divorce which had obsessed me for several weeks seemed to be firmer and clearer now.

The next day, I came back home very late and found her writing something at the table. I didn't have supper but went straight to sleep and fell asleep very fast because I was tired after an eventful day with Dew.

When I woke up, she was still there at the table writing. I just did not care so I turned over and was asleep again.

In the morning she presented her divorce conditions: she didn't want anything from me, but needed a month's notice before the divorce.

She requested that in that one month we both struggle to live as normal a life as possible. Her reasons were simple: our son had his exams in a month's time and she didn't want to disrupt him with our broken marriage.

This was agreeable to me. But she had something more, she asked me to recall how I had carried her into out bridal room on our wedding day.

She requested that everyday for the month's duration I carry her out of our bedroom to the front door ever morning.. I thought she was going crazy. Just to make our last days together bearable I accepted her odd request.

I told Dew about my wife's divorce conditions.. . She laughed loudly and thought it was absurd. No matter what tricks she applies, she has to face the divorce, she said scornfully..

My wife and I hadn't had any body contact since my divorce intention was explicitly expressed. So when I carried her out on the first day, we both appeared clumsy. Our son clapped behind us, daddy is holding mummy in his arms. His words brought me a sense of pain. From the bedroom to the sitting room, then to the door, I walked over ten meters with her in my arms. She closed her eyes and said softly; don't tell our son about the divorce. I nodded, feeling somewhat upset. I put her down outside the door. She went to wait for the bus to work. I drove alone to the office.

On the second day, both of us acted much more easily. She leaned on my chest. I could smell the fragrance of her blouse. I realized that I hadn't looked at this woman carefully for a long time.. I realized she was not young any more. There were fine wrinkles on her face, her hair was graying! Our marriage had taken its toll on her. For a minute I wondered what I had done to her.

On the fourth day, when I lifted her up, I felt a sense of intimacy returning. This was the woman who had given ten years of her life to me.

On the fifth and sixth day, I realized that our sense of intimacy was growing again. I didn't tell Dew about this. It became easier to carry her as the month slipped by. Perhaps the everyday workout made me stronger.

She was choosing what to wear one morning. She tried on quite a few dresses but could not find a suitable one. Then she sighed, all my dresses have grown bigger. I suddenly realized that she had grown so thin, that was the reason why I could carry her more easily.

Suddenly it hit me... she had buried so much pain and bitterness in her heart. Subconsciously I reached out and touched her head.

Our son came in at the moment and said, Dad, it's time to carry mum out. To him, seeing his father carrying his mother out had become an essential part of his life. My wife gestured to our son to come closer and hugged him tightly. I turned my face away because I was afraid I might change my mind at this last minute. I then held her in my arms, walking from the bedroom, through the sitting room, to the hallway. Her hand surrounded my neck softly and naturally. I held her body tightly; it was just like our wedding day.

But her much lighter weight made me sad. On the last day, when I held her in my arms I could hardly move a step. Our son had gone to school. I held her tightly and said, I hadn't noticed that our life lacked intimacy.

I drove to office.... jumped out of the car swiftly without locking the door. I was afraid any delay would make me change my mind...I walked upstairs. Dew opened the door and I said to her, Sorry, Dew, I do not want the divorce anymore.

She looked at me, astonished, and then touched my forehead.. Do you have a fever? She said. I moved her hand off my head. Sorry, Dew, I said, I won't divorce. My marriage life was boring probably because she and I didn't value the details of our lives, not because we didn't love each other any more. Now I realize that since I carried her into my home on our wedding day I am supposed to hold her until death do us apart.

Dew seemed to suddenly wake up. She gave me a loud slap and then slammed the door and burst into tears. I walked downstairs and drove away.

At the floral shop on the way, I ordered a bouquet of flowers for my wife. The salesgirl asked me what to write on the card. I smiled and wrote, I'll carry you out every morning until death do us apart.

That evening I arrived home, flowers in my hands, a smile on my face, I run up stairs, only to find my wife in the bed - dead.

The small details of your lives are what really matter in a relationship. It is not the mansion, the car, property, the money in the bank. These create an environment conducive for happiness but cannot give happiness in themselves. So find time to be your spouse's friend and do those little things for each other that build intimacy. Do have a real happy marriage!

Most kids just aren't that into writing. Well to be exact the main reason is because the parents aren't so keen to help their kids to practice since very early age. There is a lot of  activities that develop a child's motor skills. With good motor skills, it allows children to make the precise movements necessary for forming letters and improve hand and eye coordination.

All children develop as individuals. Parents should use the age ratings as a general guideline, taking the abilities, temperament and interests of their children into account.

Age 2     Focus mainly on straight lines.
               Encourage them to draw their line from left to right to mimic the process of printing from left to
               right.

Age 3      Straight, zig zag and curved lines are all appropriate to practice at Age 3.
               Encourage tracing from left to right.

Ages 4-5 Good exercise for children just starting to print their letters.
               Gives a feeling of success to kindergarten students nervous about printing.

Besides, parents may develop their toddlers' motor skills through fun activities such as cutting paper with scissors, open & close bottle's cap or cloth peg, play dough, handling chopsticks, and anything that involves fingers movement. Hot tips! Try to keep things FUN! Sing song or create stories for every activities.

Take breaks, when necessary. Choose a time of day when you and the child are relaxed. Young kids love to be praised. So praise them! A simple " Good job!" or "Well done!" means so much to them, but remember do not over-praise! Perhaps you may provide rewards (stickers or stars rewards) and change up the rewards when needed. Don't underestimate the "reward value" of one-on-one time with a loved grown up! 10 minutes of "homework time" with daddy after work can become a special ritual for both father and child.

A true story

The visions of myself lying flat on the surgery sheets, feet strung up in stirrups and a lecherous male doctor peering at my cervix with a headlamp were coming true.

Or were they?

“Relax” said the doctor.”This will be over very soon.”

This would be over all night.

My life would be over. I was getting a Pap smear for the first time and they were going to find all sorts of horrible things in there. How on earth did I even end up here? Hadn’t I resolved that no strange man was going spelunking in my vagina?

Of course. I had read somewhere that having sex could lead to cervical cancer. Apparently the Human Papillomaicalvirus (HPV) that causes cervical cancer is transmitted through intercourse.

Even having condom-protected sex won’t secure you from contracting the HPV as it spreads through skin contact in the pubic region (So if you think about it, getting lucky is overrated) :P

Was the nurse eyeing me suspiciously while I waited? What did the other people in the waiting room think? Did they know I was wearing Hello Kitty panties? What am I thinking?

What if the doctor said I had an ugly vagina? Is there such a thing as beautiful vagina? Hahaha

8 out of 10 women who frequent orgasm will be infected with the HPV virus at least once in their lifetime. Would I be one of them?

Once in the examination room, I was asked to strip bottomless by the nurse, lie down on the bed and put my feet up in the stirrups. She put a blanket over me and told me not to worry.

The doctor, who was actually very gentle, then inserted something cold in me and made a little prick inside. Next, he did a pelvic exam using his other hand to check for any growths. And he was done. Just like that.

Total time elapsed: 15 minutes.

I return a week later for the results. The doctor said he didn’t find anything abnormal, the test was negative and he gave me a clean bill of sexual health.

Feeling totally relieved and responsible. I proudly made a Pap smears appointment for the next year. There’s one thing I had to remember, though. Just make sure I wear the right panties.

It was my birthday, am finally 2*! I knew my husband had something planned for my birthday from the way he was acting. He brought me to a so-called "Jungle-Luxe" eating place named Tamarind Spring, located at Ampang. There are 3 main cuisine to choose from – Vietnamese, Italian & Thai and the one we went was Thai Restaurant with special name called mandi mandi! Well personally I've been to this place before with a friend of mine. Still, I love it since my first visit. The cosy & quiet environment really created an amazing romantic love breeze!

Holiday mood is in the air! Last saturday my company had this what we called as GWP ( whatever you named it laa..) to the Avillion Admiral Cove at PD. Well, some people say Avillion is an amazing resort and from its website stated it is one of the prestigious all-suite hotel. AND based on the website also, the building architecture reflects Malaysia's colonial heritage. Ermm..ya meh? ya gua..

The so called 'holiday' trip started with meeting ( SIGH~)...meeting meeting & meeting almost half a day, then at night time we had the team building activities. Running here & there is so tiring & exhausting. Luckily my team members were all fun! We lost but we enjoyed it to the fullest! Especially the so called 'blow-job' task! Right Joseph? hahaha

The night was not ended with early rest. After everyone got refreshed, next thing to do is party in our boss's room! haha I learnt new words from Mr. John on that night, 'Global shake'! Which mean the mixture of variaties alchohol drinks! Holy! As if this is not common among the Sabahan?Just we never care of naming it. Hahaha

So the next morning, woke up for the early breakfast then proceed to the telematch. Uwahhh! I love it soooo much! I guess everyone was having so much fun during the telematch! Best part is you can see different sides of everyone of them. Well eventhough this trip ain't at the Avillion PD, but at its sister hotel, OK also laa...with all the young & energetic staff, it wasn't as bored as what I initially thought. Just a bit tiring after continuous holiday trips that I have had.
